Pachimottanasan (पश्चिमोत्तानासन)


This Aasan is also called as "ugrasan"( उग्रासंन )
"Paschimottanasana" is derived from the combination of the Sanskrit words Paschima(west or back or back of body), uttana(intense stretch or straight or extended), and asana (posture or pose). It is called as Seated Forward Bend or Back Stretching Pose in English. 

Advantages :

-This seat (Aasan)  reduces the fat in the stomach
-This seat makes the bladder  and other stomach organs functional
-This seat speeds up the action of the intestine contraction , thus improving digestion
-This posture makes the joints flexible .The lumber pain stops
-The muscles of the feet are strengthened
-This posture eliminates disorders like constipation, indigestion, pancreatic diseases



How to :

- Sit on the ground and stretch your legs tight. 
-Then, bend forward and hold the toes with the fingers of both hands the first and middle fingers.
-Breathe out now and then slowly lower your head
-Stretch the stomach inward while leaning down, so you can easily bend down.
-Bend your head in both hands while bending down.
- when we are doing this the speed of aur breathing is increased.
-People whose backbone is flexible they will able to touch head in first attempt
-Obese people have trouble with this seat.
- People who have some disorder in the back they
will need fifteen days to a month to reach this seat.
- in the beginning you can do for 5 seconds and after increase the time  if done well.
