Basic Yoga Poses (aasanas).

   
Nowadays, everyone is suffering from some kind of distress, whether it is physical or mental, yoga is the way in which a person can get out of it.

Basic Yoga Poses.

1. Padmasan (lotus pose)

     'Padma' means lotus.when we do this aasan our body gets shape of lotus. Thats why it's called as "padmasan" ( lotus pose ). It is useful for meditation .


How to :

- for beginners some of them find it difficult to do padmasan so then can do sukhaasan.
- First sit on the ground back straight  then straight your leg
-It is observed from many studies that the person who do their all activities with their Right hand , feel comfortable while stepping the right leg up and also they can sit up to long time with this posture and it's same in the case with the Lefty people.
- in sukhaasan just sit by placing your strengthen leg above the other leg and just sit relaxed and back straight.
- Padmasan is next level of sukhaasan and it will possible to do this pose if you do it regular practice
- for padmasan  fold your right leg and place on the left thigh
- Then take left leg and place on right thigh
- You can either take first left leg as per your comfort as I said earlier.
- Then do gyan mudra and You can keep your eyes closed or open
- While doing this pose just do slow breathing inhale slowly and focus how air is going to your lung and exhale slowly.
- Many people can get close to the thighs with only one leg but with practice they can easily do this posture within a few days.

Advantages :

- This aasan  used for chanting, pranayama, meditation, samadhi

- This position makes Endocrine glands functional

-This posture reduces body fat and increases
 Vitality

-Diseasess like asthma insomnia and hysteria can be eliminated. This  Asana is a blessing for patients with sleep disorders.
